HEELLLOOOOO!

I think there are some confusions regarding the gift exchange... So let me try to clarify k :)

The gift exchange is kinda a culture we have in YPM, whereby we buy a gift of approx $5 bucks and exchange during a christmas party.

And here are the steps to THIS YEAR gift exchange!
1. Get ANY sock,
2. Get it decorated (optional but encouraged).
3. Afterwhich, put something (ANYTHING) inside the sock.
4. Lastly, bring it on sunday!
5. REMEMBER, TOTAL cost should be approx $5 bucks! PLEASE DON'T OVERSPEND!!!!

Hi Everyone,

It's Evangeline again! Here to announce that the date for Enoch's ONLY Christmas Party has been confirmed! @.@

It will be on the 20th December, Sunday. We'll have lunch at parkway parade so that our dear Siew Ho can join us for lunch as well :) Afterwhich, we will proceed to Funan Minds Cafe for 3 hours of NON-STOP games. *GO SCREAM* haha.

Alright, please confirm your attendance with your mentors and remember to get the gift exchange ready by lunch time! :)

Dear all LOVELY Enochians!!!

The festive season is here and we have Christmas events planned up for YOU! Do come down for the Christmas parties stated below and have a great time of Fun and Fellowship. You are also most welcome to bring other friends along. Interested (I hope a YES), please let your mentor know that you (and your friends) will be coming when they give you a call :)

Enoch's ONLY Christmas Party

Date: 20th Dec, Sunday OR 18th Dec, Friday. (Please keep both days free as we're tryng to juggle between the two)
Venue: Funan minds cafe
Activity: Lunch and boardgames!
Time: (Both) @ 1100hrs
Dresscode: Green or Red
Gifts exchange: Bring a gift and stuff them into a clean sock! Decorations on the sock are recommended!

We'll set off for funan and have our lunch there before heading to minds cafe.

Additionally, there is a promotion at minds cafe, 3hrs for 8.90 bucks per person. The promo lasts from 2:00-5:00pm. Every extra hour would be another 6.90 bucks. There will also be a 15% discount because Funan is a new outlet.

So PLease bring approx 20bucks for this event!

Venue: Aunty Meiyoke's house
Activity: DInner, Games and More FUN stuff!
Time: After YPM
Cell groups involved: Enoch, Benjamin, Joseph and Daniel.

Our Group will be doing a song presentation. Jerome is in charge of this activity and will greatly appreciate that you confirm your attendance for this event and also that you indicate if you are interested in helping out for this activity :)

Go click the link or just go my blog to read. And thanks guys, for some of your smses. Wont be leaving til Tuesday morning though. I love you all very much, and am disappointed I wont be there to see Christmas, but I will pray for you all ALL THE TIME okie. :) Pray for me tooooooo!

Take great care guys, in this holiday season. I know some of you guys are going overseas too, so please don't take unnecessary risks or do really crazy stuff that would cost you your life okie, not that I think your parents will allow you in the first place. :\

And HAVE AN AWESOME TIME AT YPM CAMP. :) I will pray that you guys get one touch from heaven by God. Because then you will experience the awesome wonder of God. Keep your eyes, ears and most importantly your heart, open. Go to camp with a heart that expects. AMEN?

I was re-stringing my guitar thanks to Siew Ho for the awesome preeze of a new string set. THANK YOU :D

As I was stringing my guitar I got pricked here and there, and I pretty much spent all the night fixing it up. But it was really worth the while and yes, it sounds great compared to my previous strings! Bright and resonant :)

It was when I had all the strings tuned right that God revealed to me, how the Christian life is JUST like stringing the guitar.

Think of the guitar as a whole, as the Body of Christ. The different ministries and people that make up the Body are all good in different things. Some feature more prominently than others, some are more resonant in effect and some are supporting in nature. But the truth really is that, the Body of Christ will only function as it should if every ministry/person is in tune to his/her/its role in the Maestro's grand scheme of things. While the low E string might want to shine aurally like its cousin of higher key (non-musicians pardon me), it's clear that guitars can't do without it as a bass string. And the A, D, G and B strings give the guitar its variety of scales and harmonics (as well as tonal quality) that distinguishes the final sound from other string instruments.

Yes, it's true. Sometimes God will stretch us and put us under tension in order to shape us and help us find our optimal 'key' - just like tuning the guitar. But fret not for he won't stretch you beyond what you can bear (as is so for tuning strings!) He'll stretch you that little, test the sound, and stretch you further, test the sound again and further and further...
All the way till He can present you mature in Christ - ringing with the tone he meant you to.
And don't worry because He doesn't make mistakes like ordinary guitarists do, breaking strings (or am I the only one? :P)
